The Honda warranty manual is confusing. If you look at the Hybrid System Warranty part of the manual it will say Hybrid components have a special warranty. Then in a separate column is says "see Emissions Warranties Parts List" for specific part warranty length. At first I thought this was a just about the emissions warranty, but I went to the myhonda site and downloaded the Emissions Warranties Parts List.

So it turns out that Hybrid components are covered under Federal emissions warranty regulations and some states require even more. The key part on the list for us is:

Battery Assembly (including all internal components) 8/100 federal 10/150 CA, CT, ME, MD, MA, NJ, NY, RI and VT
Several other hybrid components are 15/150 in those states

Here's the full list:

Also key, in those state Ignition Coils & Spark Plug are covered 15/150. I had 2 ignition coils blow out, Honda deal wanted some ridiculous amount... over $1000. Did it myself $200 parts + 1 hour labor.
