    Future Honda support

That's actually a great question.... Ultimately the warranty periods are the best you can expect from a manufacturer..(some will go longer, but unlikely). So given that the Hybrid components are 10/150000, I would say at least 10 years from date of manufacture... The other components you can...

"Zero Pressure" Tires install's recommendation ???

responded in your other thread... ---

"Run Flat" Tires Install, I need you guys advices and reccom

Yikes! That doesn't sound fun at all... The only caution I would have for Run flat tires is in the Disclaimer all over Tire Rack's website (tirerack.com): NOTE: Run-flat tires are only recommended for vehicles that are originally equipped with self-supporting run-flat tires and equipped with a...

Engine Information of Honda Accord Plug in Hybrid

To over-simplify, what you described is what Honda calls an e-CVT. ;) Please see: http://automobiles.honda.com/accord-plu ... tions.aspx Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission (E-CVT) Gear Ratio: 2.450, Final Drive: 3.421 ---

    Cold weather and electric miles

In the 40s, 6.7 is *not* normal. HOWEVER, how far are you actually able to drive on battery? (how accurate is 6.7, how does distance compare to when you had significantly higher numbers)?. The number that's displayed is based on historical data, so you have any aggressive driving previously...

    New Navi Software Update 2.00.2014 / DB2.01.01

Good to hear that requesting it is actually making progress..although Honda needs to seriously do a better job of getting these updates out there... Actually that just sounds like they reset the default settings. To set that from the Navi menu go to: Settings -> Navi Settings -> Map View...

PHEV wheels without the wheel covers (w/ pics!)

To quote Honda: "The Accord Plug-In's ultra-light alloy wheels with aero covers have a fresh new design for maximum style and minimum drag.". and "The Accord Plug-In was designed with aerodynamics in mind, so you can make the most of your Plug-In's power. The grille, hood, decklid spoiler...

    Power System Problem

The only thing I can think of would be this: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=156 Which I believe was a bit later last year... Did you ever get that note / take your car in for that? If not you may want to call up Honda and see why you didn't receive a notice in the mail for it...you likely should have...

questions on adding a sound system

You can certainly try...keep in mind recharging the engine/accessory battery is a bit weird and the strain of a large amp w/ sub could put strain on the lithium battery wiring... But I think most w/ this car are a bit afraid of damaging the electrical. If you can find a sub-out from the...

    Power System Problem

Sounds like this is a new one..Have you already brought your vehicle in for the software update? Did the driving experience change when the error popped up? How old is the vehicle / how many miles? This will help others w/ similar age cars chime in if they've had the issue or not..but sounds...

Is it cost effective to plug-in?

Almost... Your 3.3 kWh for seems accurate w/ ~2 bars left, but note when all bars are full, you're not really at 6.7. Closer to 4.7. The other ~2 actually seem to be reserves that rotate through charge/discharge cycles when the software determines they should. So in theory that's how Honda is...

Is it cost effective to plug-in?

6.7 is the rated usable capacity...chances are you've got 2 bars on the gauge / ~20% of the battery actually there when you plug-in to charge. If you have a completely depleted battery..you've got other problems.. :) So that's where the variance comes from. Remember, with only 2 bars left...

Hybrid mode help, and increasing MPG

Welcome to the group! So ultimately the car has really "4" driving modes. Driving mode 1; All electric motor. (tends to be available IF you have enough battery life, usually won't go over 65mph in this mode). Driving mode 2; All gasoline engine (w/ some excess power going to charge battery...

Question about spontaneous battery capacity increase...

The estimate is just a calculation based on previous driving experience. Roll down a long hill without burning gas, then get 10 miles of electric, and tada you'll get a rather substantial estimate when you charge next. Remember the mileage estimate will vary. As the battery receives a charge...
