Found something interesting for Accord Plug in forum.
A plug-in hybrid electric Honda has become the first car to meet California’s tough new smog standard, while in Japan, Mitsubishi is
preparing to sell a plug-in SUV.
The California Air Resources Board gave its stamp of approval for Honda to sell its 2014 Accord PHEV in the state. The California regulations, approved a year ago, will mean a 75 percent reduction in smog-forming emissions from new vehicles by 2025. In its late December announcement, the board said Honda was the first automaker to comply.

“Honda has demonstrated that a dedicated commitment to the environment and advanced engineering at every level of the company can deliver the cleanest cars well ahead of schedule,” said Tom Cackette, deputy executive officer of the Air Resources Board.

Across the Pacific, Mitsubishi Motors announced that its Outlander PHEV will go on sale in Japan on Jan. 24.

The automaker said the SUV can go about 37 miles on a full charge before the gasoline engine kicks in. The combined range is about 557 miles, which Mitsubishi said makes the vehicle suitable “for uses traditionally associated with SUVs, such as long-distance travel and outdoor and leisure activities.”

There was no word on when the Outlander PHEV might be available in the United States. In Japan, prices start at the equivalent of $38,154.
